Alexander Lehmann Founder & CEO

Mr. Lehmann spent his graduate-school years building particle detectors at Fermi National Laboratory as an experimental particle physicist while attending the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Mr. Lehmann is the original founder of our company and serves as our Chief Executive Officer overseeing all aspects of our business. An accomplished entrepreneur, Mr. Lehmann spent his formative years as a professional games player (chess, poker, and backgammon) while running several games-related startups. Mr. Lehmann's most notable recent project was serving as CTO to Anchor Loans LP. During his five-year tenure, Mr. Lehmann designed and implemented technology that enabled a regional company to scale to a nation-wide leader in the complex business of hard money lending. His current research interests include exploitive game theory, sentiment detection through image and video, and deep learning. Mr. Lehmann resides in Portugal with his wife and two sons. In his free time he enjoys speed chess, poker, and cooking.

Claudiu Saftoiu CTO

Claudiu Saftoiu graduated Brown University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in computer science. Mr. Saftoiu currently serves as the Chief Technical Officer of Deeper Systems and is a driving force behind our development team. His exceptional programming abilities combine well with his management skills to train and scale our developers and middle management. He is responsible for evaluating new technologies, creating innovative deep learning solutions, and designing the company's technology stack to minimize human error and maximize efficiency. Previously Mr. Saftoiu held the position of lead developer for Game Algorithms where he used his skills to create unique solutions for game play analysis in poker and backgammon. Born in Romania and raised in New York City, Mr. Saftoiu currently resides in San Diego. In his spare time, he enjoys rock climbing, music, and writing.

João Paulo Farias Lead Developer

Mr. Farias is an UFRN-trained software developer with 15 years of experience in software design and algorithms. He currently serves as our lead developer and is responsible for designing and coding our top-level algorithms. Mr. Farias is a founding partner and created our original gaming AIs and interfaces in the early 2000s. Previously, Mr. Farias worked as a lead developer at Anchor Loans, CA, where he led the design and development of their innovative real-estate software. His current research interests include deep learning, virtual and augmented reality, and advanced game engines. Originally born in Natal, Brazil, Mr. Farias resides in Southern Portugal with his wife and two daughters. In his free time he enjoys playing soccer, MMORPGs, and tinkering with drones.
